From the Park's Headquarters at Kuala Tahan, visitors may choose to explore a number of marked trails like the Tahan Trenggan Trail, the Neram Trail and the Bukit Teresek loop.

 Each trail promises a different adventure, yet all are equally fascinating. These tracks have been marked so carefully so as not to disturb the natural beauty of the surrounding.

For a truly genuine jungle adventure, pack up and try jungle trekking where trekking for up to a duration of a day is possible.

Taman Negara is a haven for all types of outdoor activities. Cave exploring, also known as "spelunking" is definitely worth a try when you visit Taman Negara. One of the more famous caves here, Gua Telinga (Ear Cave) is carved through a limestone outcrop by a stream which runs through the cave. Ancient drawings on the walls of the cave speak of a mysterious past, while a climb to the top of Bukit Guling Gendang offers a magnificent view of the Emerald jungle 590 metres below.

FLORAL AND FAUNA 

Rich forest and riverine vegetation dominates the lowlands while the altitudes are graced with oaks and palm flora.  Spot some of the rarest orchids in the world. The lowland areas are home to diverse wildlife. Spend nights in a jungle hide (tree-house) looking out for Tapir, Bear or Elephant lapping it up at the salt-lick below.
