Endau
Rompin covering an estimated area of 870 square kilometers, stands
between the boundary of Johore and Pahang, remains one of the least
disturbed and finest examples of lowland tropical rainforest in
Malaysia.
Endau Rompin may be
the newest found jungle retreat in the country. Itself being more
than 100 million years old where the exotic flora and fauna found
nowhere else in the world.
Opeh Guling waterfalls offer good swimming spot. Buaya Sangkut meanwhile
is a 5 step waterfall which is 3 hours hike away from the main camping
site. It is 40 meters wide and 120 meters high. (Please click on

Salt licks around Gunung Tiong might offer a rewarding view of the
wild animals. Deers, boars, black leopards, tigers, tapirs, elephants,
to name a few, visits these salt licks. Check out their foot prints
too. It is here in Endau Rompin, botanists have discovered a new fan palm trees
along the Jasin River, scientifically called Livingstona Endauensis.
