Four hours drive from Kuala Lumpur .(including one hour by 4WD)

2. ENDAU ROMPIN EAST ENTRY FROM KAHANG MORMALLY CLOSED IN DECEMBER. JANUARY AND FEBRUARY DUE RAINY SEASY ON THE EAST COAST -

Seven hours drive Kuala Lumpur (including 2 1/2 hours by 4WD to Kg Peta)

and a further 45 minutes by boat tp Kuala Jasin.

ENDAU ROMPIN WEST ENTRY FROM BEKOK has the following advantages :

2. 4WD vehicles can reach the chalet base camp at Lubok Tapah in one hour

3. Has more than three waterfalls which is reachable by trekking in less than two hours per way. The waterfalls are Takah Pandan, Takah Berangin and Takah Tinggi.

5. Has a campsite at Merekek - 500 meters from Lubok Tapah that can accommodate about 300 people with toilets and bathrooms facilities.

6. Has a section of the river suitable for white water tube rafting

8. Has a suitable environment for Jungle Survival training programs

A DETAILED STORY ABOUT ENDAU ROMPIN ADVENTURE WRITTEN BY AN ADVENTURE WRITER

Endau Rompin covering an estimated area of 870 square kilometers, stands between the boundary of Johore and Pahang, remains one of the least disturbed and finest examples of lowland tropical rainforest in Malaysia.

Endau Rompin may be the newest found jungle retreat in the country. Itself being more than 100 million years old where the exotic flora and fauna found nowhere else in the world.

Opeh Guling waterfalls offer good swimming spot. Buaya Sangkut meanwhile is a 5 step waterfall which is 3 hours hike away from the main camping site. It is 40 meters wide and 120 meters high. (Please click on image on the left for a bigger photo)

Salt licks around Gunung Tiong might offer a rewarding view of the wild animals. Deers, boars, black leopards, tigers, tapirs, elephants, to name a few, visits these salt licks. Check out their foot prints too. It is here in Endau Rompin, botanists have discovered a new fan palm trees along the Jasin River, scientifically called Livingstona Endauensis.
