MALAYSIAN  VISA REGULATIONS

Restricted entry
Nationals of Israel and Yugoslavia (Serbia and Montenegro), citizens of the British Dependent Territories and those of scruffy appearance will be denied entry. Passports issued byTaiwan are not recognised unless accompanied bya document in lieu of a passport and an entry visa.

PASSPORTS
A valid passport or other travel documents recognised bythe Malaysian government required byall. The former must be valid for at least 6 months at date of entry and the latter should be endorsed with a valid re-entry permit.

Note: All visitors must also have proof of adequate funds and an onward or return sea or air ticket.

Visitors on social and business visit purposes are to be guided bythe following visa requirements:

Visa Exemption
No visas
are required for citizens of Commonwealth countries (except Bangladesh, India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka), British Protected Persons or citizens of the Republic of Ireland and citizens of Switzerland, Netherlands, San Marino and Liechtenstein.


Three Months Visa-Free Visit
Citizens of Albania, Austria, Algeria, Argentina, Bahrain, Belgium, Czech Republic, Republic of Slovakia, Denmark, Egypt, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Japan, Jordan, Kuwait, Luxembourg, Lebanon, Morocco, Norway, Oman, Qatar, Spain, South Korea, Republic of Bosnia, Sweden, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Tunisia, Turkmenistan, United States of America, United Arab Emirates and Yemen are eligible for three months visa free visit.

One Month Visa-Free Visit
Applicable to citizens of ASEAN countries.


14-Days Visa-Free Visit
Citizens of Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq, Libya and Syria are eligible for 14-days visa free visit.

7-Days Visa-Free Visit
Applicable to citizens of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Republic of Belarus, Bulgaria, Estonia, Georgia, Kazakstan, Kirghizstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldavia, Romania, Russia, Tajikistan, Ukraine and Uzbekistan. Air travellers on transit (not exceeding 72 hours) are eligible for a visa-free visit. As regulations may change from time to time, it is advisable to check with the nearest Malaysian Embassy before your departure.

Types of visa and cost
Social and Business: 10 (single- and multiple-entry). For nationals of India, a single-entry visa costs 10 and a multiple-entry visa costs 20. For holders of Taiwanese passports, all visas cost 20. Prices are subject to change. Enquire at the Malaysian High Commission for details.

Validity
The permitted length of stay is entered on the visa at the time of issue and is at the discretion of the issuer. Extensions are possible. Enquire at the Malaysian High Commission for further details.

Application requirements
(a) Passport valid for at least 6 months. (b) 3 passport-size photos. (c) Fee (payable in cash or postal order only). (d) 3 completed and signed application forms (at a charge of 0.75 each). (e) Proof of sufficient funds. (f) Onward or return ticket. (g) Compulsory yellow fever vaccination certificate for all visitors coming from infected areas. (h) Letter of introduction from applicant's employer, college or university.
