Terms, Conditions and other Information
- The rates, term & conditions is valid from
01 Apr 08 to 31 Mar 2009 and supercedes any previous rates, terms & conditions
given.
- Rates quoted in
Ringgit Malaysia and subject to change with or without prior
notice. A 4.5% ecommerce charged will imposed for payment made
thru Visa/Master card.
- Rates are based on
twin-share. Add 50% for single supplement.
- Package Rates includes:
Entry Permit, Accommodation, meals and guided
activities as per itinerary, schedule return transfer (LD/Tabin/LD)
- Lodges will be
assigned on run-of house basis upon check in time.
- Children aged 5 - 12 enjoy a 50% discount on extra pax rate
provided he/she stay in twin-share room with two paying adults
and do not utalised extra bed. Full adult rate applies if extra
bed utilised. Children below 5 without using extra bed stay
free of charge.
- Check in time:
after 12nn / Check out time: at 10am
- Surcharge for unscheduled transfer at RM
50 per person per
way, minimum two pax. Deduct RM 25 from package rate if own
transfer is used to or from Tabin. Multiply by 2 for both
ways.

2D1N Tabin Wildlife Encounter
Day 01
Transfer from Lahad
Datu to Tabin Wildlife Reserve on gravel road for about one hour.
Check into the charming timber bungalow of Tabin Wildlife Resort
which comes complete with private balcony and hot water shower, a
real luxury in the forest. Built alongside the Lipad river and
nestled within the rainforest, a variety of birds, insects and even
small mammals can be sighted quite easily within the resort.
Discover the rich variety of jungle herbs, some endemic, used for
generations by local folks for the treatment of various ailments.
In the afternoon,
visit the Lipad mud volcano which serves as a mineral salt lick for
wildlife. After trekking through the jungle for twenty minutes,
arrive at the elevated bare area of the mud volcano. Try to identify
the multitude of animal footprints here. Those adventurous can
experiment the effect of the volcanic mud said to be responsible for
fine complexion. Walk up the observation tower and admire the
contrasting landscape of the bare area and its surrounding thick
forest where birds are commonly sighted.
After dinner, enjoy
a slide presentation on Tabin’s uniqueness, followed by a trip to
look out for nocturnal wildlife and birds. Remember to look up at
the clear, dark sky of Tabin, identify the constellations above you,
and make a wish or two. (L,D)
Day 02
You may opt to rise
early and join the optional dawn drive (not included in package) to
experience Tabin and the surrounding area’s pre-sunrise beauty, and
look out for active wildlife. Join the morning bird walk as Tabin
has a rich collection of about 300 bird species.
After breakfast,
trek through the lush green jungle known for its rich diversity of
plants and animal species to visit Lipad’s Waterfall. Take a dip in
the natural pool and enjoy the refreshing splash coming down from
the waterfall. Alternatively explore the surrounding vegetations or
just relax. (B,L)
